In the process of mechanical assembly, these parts are first assembled into parts (component assembly), and then into the general assembly. Some parts (called sub-parts) are assembled into larger parts with other parts and parts before they enter the final assembly. The larger parts assembled from several parts and having independent functions are called assemblies in the automotive and some other mechanical industries.
